Participation in the elections from Galicia up to 49%, in the last moments I got the points, shortly before 2009

The influx of urnas increases in all the provinces, with special incidence in Lugo and Orense. The participation in the autonomous elections of Galicia stood at 49.13% in the last 17 hours, 6.16 points above the 42.97% that had voted in the same hour in the elections of July 2020. The participation of this 18-year-old was 17.1%, 2.3 points below that of four years ago but in a different context. At that moment there was a concentration of votes in the first hour which then slowed down to 59% by the end of the day - later falling to 49% after counting only 6,000 votes from abroad. In reality, the participation of the middle was the third highest in the last 20 years, only behind that of 2020 and the 18,8% of 2005, when the government changed from PP to bipartite of PSOE and BNG. Those elections were also held in summer and with good temperatures, favoring early voting. A media later, the most recent elections with greater participation had been those of 2009, when Alberto Núñez Feijó obtained his first absolute majority and in the last 17 hours 49,34% of the voters had voted. Since then, as in 2012 (42,5%), as in 2016 (42,49%), as in 2020 (42,97%), the participation has remained very stable since this time. The participation of this Sunday will have to be included later in the arrival from the outside. Of the almost half a million electors with the right to vote, they have finally been exercised by about 30,000 Gallegos in the diaspora, as confirmed by the own junta. Your votes will be counted from 26 February and may result in decisive electoral decisions. Additionally, approximately 59.000 people voted by mail, 20% less than in the 2020 autonomous elections but 37% more than in 2016. By provinces, the participation dispersed especially in Lugo (+7,74%) and Orense (+7,43%). But it also rose with force in the more urban circunscriptions of Pontevedra (+5,77%) and of La Coruña (+5,68%). As for the large cities, the increase in participation in the Orange capital stands out, by more than 10%. In Lugo it rose by 8,8%, in Santiago de Compostela by 6,9%, in Vigo by 6,7%, in La Coruña by 6,3%, in Pontevedra by 6,2% and in Ferrol only by 3, 1%.
