Images of the aftermath circulated on social media, highlighting the vulnerability of displaced residents. Tensions escalated as the Congolese army cited retaliation for prior attacks on Rwandan positions, prompting President Felix Tshisekedi's return to address the situation. Amid accusations of abuses by both rebels and government troops, the attack underscored the volatile struggle for territorial control. Additionally, a military court in Goma sentenced eight DR Congo soldiers to death for desertion and cowardice. The M23, formed in 2012, purportedly to defend the ethnic Tutsi population, has been linked to Rwanda, despite denials from Kigali.

Anupam Kher remembers last conversation with Satish Kaushik three hours before his death: ‘Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted

  A ctor Anupam Kher shared a strong friendship with late Bollywood actor-director Satish Kaushik, who passed away last year, following a heart attack. Recently, Kher revisited his first meeting with Kaushik at drama school in 1975. The Saaransh star also recalled the last conversation that he had with his friend of 48 years, just three hours before  his death. Kher recalled that he was on a phone call with Kaushik just three before before he succumbed to a heart attack. During their conversation, Kaushik had mentioned that he was feeling unwell, and Kher had told him to get admitted to a hospital. "I told him, 'Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted. Go as if you are going to a resort'," Kher shared with Bollywood Hungama. Kaushik insisted on going in the morning, but Kher didn't give up. He told his friend, "You go now. Lie down and rest there.
