The participation of this 18-year-old was 17.1%, 2.3 points below that of four years ago but in a different context. At that moment there was a concentration of votes in the first hour which then slowed down to 59% by the end of the day - later falling to 49% after counting only 6,000 votes from abroad. In reality, the participation of the middle was the third highest in the last 20 years, only behind that of 2020 and the 18,8% of 2005, when the government changed from PP to bipartite of PSOE and BNG. Those elections were also held in summer and with good temperatures, favoring early voting.
