 Anne Hathaway has discussed experiencing a miscarriage in 2015 while playing a pregnant character in a play.


In an interview with Vanity Fair, the 41-year-old actress shared that her first pregnancy "didn't go as planned," explaining, "I was performing in a play and had to portray giving birth on stage every night."


During the six-week run of the show, Hathaway admitted to "putting on a brave face," but she confided in her friends backstage, saying, "I couldn't keep it bottled up."
