 West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sustained significant injuries in an accident, as reported by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on the microblogging site X. Images released by TMC showed the CM receiving treatment in a hospital bed. Reports indicated that she was taken to SSKM Hospital around 7:30 pm after suffering a cerebral concussion from a fall near her home, allegedly due to being pushed from behind. Banerjee suffered a deep cut on her forehead and nose, leading to profuse bleeding.


Following medical attention at a government hospital, including stitches and tests, Banerjee's condition stabilized, allowing for her discharge, according to TMC.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his wishes for Mamata Didi's speedy recovery and good health via Twitter.

Anupam Kher remembers last conversation with Satish Kaushik three hours before his death: ‘Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted

  A ctor Anupam Kher shared a strong friendship with late Bollywood actor-director Satish Kaushik, who passed away last year, following a heart attack. Recently, Kher revisited his first meeting with Kaushik at drama school in 1975. The Saaransh star also recalled the last conversation that he had with his friend of 48 years, just three hours before  his death. Kher recalled that he was on a phone call with Kaushik just three before before he succumbed to a heart attack. During their conversation, Kaushik had mentioned that he was feeling unwell, and Kher had told him to get admitted to a hospital. "I told him, 'Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted. Go as if you are going to a resort'," Kher shared with Bollywood Hungama. Kaushik insisted on going in the morning, but Kher didn't give up. He told his friend, "You go now. Lie down and rest there.
