The latest update regarding the Parliamentary polls states, "General elections are slated to occur from April 19 to June 1, 2024." It cautions of potential demonstrations before, during, and after the elections, with possible disruptions to traffic and public transportation, along with the chance of sudden curfews being imposed.


Travellers are advised to steer clear of areas where protests and large gatherings are happening. Many of the warnings from last year remain intact, following the strained relations between Canada and India after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's remarks in the House of Commons regarding "credible allegations" of a potential link between Indian agents and the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar on June 18, 2023, in Surrey, British Columbia.


In October, it was additionally noted, "Given recent developments in Canada and India, there are calls for protests and some negative sentiment towards Canada in traditional media and on social platforms. Demonstrations, including anti-Canada protests, could occur, potentially leading to intimidation or harassment of Canadians."

Anupam Kher remembers last conversation with Satish Kaushik three hours before his death: ‘Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted

  A ctor Anupam Kher shared a strong friendship with late Bollywood actor-director Satish Kaushik, who passed away last year, following a heart attack. Recently, Kher revisited his first meeting with Kaushik at drama school in 1975. The Saaransh star also recalled the last conversation that he had with his friend of 48 years, just three hours before  his death. Kher recalled that he was on a phone call with Kaushik just three before before he succumbed to a heart attack. During their conversation, Kaushik had mentioned that he was feeling unwell, and Kher had told him to get admitted to a hospital. "I told him, 'Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted. Go as if you are going to a resort'," Kher shared with Bollywood Hungama. Kaushik insisted on going in the morning, but Kher didn't give up. He told his friend, "You go now. Lie down and rest there.
