President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that frontline troops are eagerly anticipating the arrival of US military equipment following the recent $61 billion Congressional approval for additional weapons crucially needed by Kyiv.


In his nightly address to the nation on April 28, he stated, “We are engaging with our partners at all levels to ensure the effective delivery of assistance required not only to hold our ground but also to thwart Russia’s war strategies." Zelensky emphasized the urgency of receiving the promised supplies, expecting them to be of a volume and nature that could significantly alter the battlefield situation in favor of Ukraine.


Additionally, Zelensky disclosed ongoing negotiations between Kyiv and Washington for a robust bilateral security agreement. He expressed the ambition to make this agreement the most robust of its kind, outlining discussions on the specific pillars of security and cooperation.


Addressing the upcoming international peace summit in June aimed at finding avenues to resolve the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian conflict, Zelensky affirmed that Ukraine has fulfilled all prerequisites for the commencement of substantive access negotiations. He noted that the onus is now on the EU to fulfill its obligations.


Scheduled for June 15-16 and to be hosted by Switzerland, the summit will convene members of the G7, the EU, and other key countries such as China and India in efforts to address the conflict.

Anupam Kher remembers last conversation with Satish Kaushik three hours before his death: ‘Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted

  A ctor Anupam Kher shared a strong friendship with late Bollywood actor-director Satish Kaushik, who passed away last year, following a heart attack. Recently, Kher revisited his first meeting with Kaushik at drama school in 1975. The Saaransh star also recalled the last conversation that he had with his friend of 48 years, just three hours before  his death. Kher recalled that he was on a phone call with Kaushik just three before before he succumbed to a heart attack. During their conversation, Kaushik had mentioned that he was feeling unwell, and Kher had told him to get admitted to a hospital. "I told him, 'Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted.
