 Olympiakos aim to become the first Greek club to win a European trophy when they face Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final in Athens on Wednesday.


Jose Luis Mendilibar's team secured their place in the club's first European final by defeating Aston Villa 6-2 on aggregate in the previous round.


Their opponents, Fiorentina, are looking to redeem themselves after losing to West Ham in last season's final.


"It would be amazing. We'd go down in Olympiakos and football history," said Mendilibar.


Mendilibar, who led Sevilla to Europa League victory last season, took over at Olympiakos in February. The team had dropped out of the Europa League group stages and into the third-tier Conference League.


Olympiakos' journey to the final included victories over Ferencvaros, a comeback from a 4-1 home defeat against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the last 16, and defeating Fenerbahce in the quarter-finals before their decisive win over Villa.


"Along the way, we've crossed the whole of Europe, playing against many opponents," Mendilibar added. "There are so many different moments, and I think we could call it a marathon. Now we've reached the end."

Anupam Kher remembers last conversation with Satish Kaushik three hours before his death: ‘Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted

  A ctor Anupam Kher shared a strong friendship with late Bollywood actor-director Satish Kaushik, who passed away last year, following a heart attack. Recently, Kher revisited his first meeting with Kaushik at drama school in 1975. The Saaransh star also recalled the last conversation that he had with his friend of 48 years, just three hours before  his death. Kher recalled that he was on a phone call with Kaushik just three before before he succumbed to a heart attack. During their conversation, Kaushik had mentioned that he was feeling unwell, and Kher had told him to get admitted to a hospital. "I told him, 'Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted. Go as if you are going to a resort'," Kher shared with Bollywood Hungama. Kaushik insisted on going in the morning, but Kher didn't give up. He told his friend, "You go now. Lie down and rest there.
