On Thursday, May 23, a cricket team from the USA stunned their opponents from Bangladesh for the second consecutive time, winning the second T20I of the three-match series in Houston. After confidently chasing down 154 in the series opener, the hosts defended a modest total of 144/6 at the Prairie View Cricket Complex, thanks to a three-wicket haul by Ali Khan, securing a decisive 2-0 lead in the series.


This series win is a historic achievement for the USA team, who will be co-hosting the 2024 T20 World Cup with another team in June. The tournament kicks off on June 1, with the USA set to play the opener against Canada. This victory marks their first T20I series win against a team of Bangladesh's caliber and their first against a Test-playing nation in T20 cricket, boosting their confidence ahead of the World Cup.


In the match, the Bangladesh team chose to bowl first. The USA openers started strong with a 44-run partnership. Although the USA batters struggled to accelerate the run rate, they managed to avoid losing wickets in quick succession. Captain and wicketkeeper Monank Patel scored 42, while Aaron Jones added 35 off 34 balls, helping the home team reach 144/6 on a sluggish pitch.

  A ctor Anupam Kher shared a strong friendship with late Bollywood actor-director Satish Kaushik, who passed away last year, following a heart attack. Recently, Kher revisited his first meeting with Kaushik at drama school in 1975. The Saaransh star also recalled the last conversation that he had with his friend of 48 years, just three hours before  his death. Kher recalled that he was on a phone call with Kaushik just three before before he succumbed to a heart attack. During their conversation, Kaushik had mentioned that he was feeling unwell, and Kher had told him to get admitted to a hospital. "I told him, 'Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted.
