 A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm after reports of a gun being discharged near Leicester prompted a response from armed officers. Police were alerted to the incident at The Glade in Braunstone Town shortly before 10:00 BST on Tuesday. A bomb squad and firefighters were dispatched to the scene after officers discovered an abandoned vehicle. A significant police cordon remains in effect, resulting in the closure of several nearby roads and the evacuation of some properties. Authorities have advised the public to avoid the area.

Anupam Kher remembers last conversation with Satish Kaushik three hours before his death: ‘Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted

  A ctor Anupam Kher shared a strong friendship with late Bollywood actor-director Satish Kaushik, who passed away last year, following a heart attack. Recently, Kher revisited his first meeting with Kaushik at drama school in 1975. The Saaransh star also recalled the last conversation that he had with his friend of 48 years, just three hours before  his death. Kher recalled that he was on a phone call with Kaushik just three before before he succumbed to a heart attack. During their conversation, Kaushik had mentioned that he was feeling unwell, and Kher had told him to get admitted to a hospital. "I told him, 'Go to the hospital, get yourself admitted. Go as if you are going to a resort'," Kher shared with Bollywood Hungama. Kaushik insisted on going in the morning, but Kher didn't give up. He told his friend, "You go now. Lie down and rest there.
